Email for how we work today.

Email hasn't evolved in a decade. signet is a keyboard-first, agent-enabled, local-first email client built for how people actually work now — several identities, constant context switching, and an overnight agent that triages, drafts, and gets out of the way unless it's confident.

01
An overnight agent that triages while you sleep. A scheduled run sorts each thread into a GTD bucket, drafts replies for the ones that need a response, pulls action items into one list, and proposes calendar events from meeting threads. You wake up to an inbox that's already processed.
02
The agent drafts; you send. Auto-send is permanently out of scope — no flag, no "advanced mode." Drafts land in Drafts with a sparkle indicator. You review, hit Y / N / E on inline proposals, and ⌘Z reverses the last move. Per-decision and whole-run undo on every agent run.
03
Bring your own model. Agent skills run against Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local model via Ollama, with a key you provide. There is no Signet server in between — your mailbox lives on your Mac, and the call goes from your machine straight to the provider. Pick Ollama and nothing leaves the laptop.
04
Multi-identity, keyboard-first. Several Gmail accounts and send-as identities under one roof, color-coded pills, and a composer that picks the right from-address (or warns you if it doesn't). Eighty-plus percent of email work should never need a mouse: J/K to move, E to archive, R to reply, ⌘K for everything else.
