Signet
Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-18
These terms govern your use of Signet, a desktop email client operated by Taylor Insurance Services ("we", "us"). By installing or using Signet, or by submitting your email address to our waitlist, you agree to these terms.
1. Private development
Signet is currently in private development. Access is by invitation. Features may change, break, or disappear at any time. Do not rely on Signet for mission-critical email workflow during this period without a backup plan.
2. Your account with Signet
Signet does not require a Signet-side account. You use Signet by connecting your existing email accounts (for example, a Google account) directly. Those accounts are governed by their own providers' terms, and your relationship with those providers is unchanged.
3. Your content
Your email belongs to you. Signet acts on your behalf locally on your device. We do not claim any license over your mail, drafts, attachments, or any other content you read, write, or receive through Signet.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Signet to:
- Send spam, phishing messages, or other content prohibited by your email provider or by law.
- Violate the terms of any email provider or third-party service Signet connects to.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute Signet except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Use Signet in a way that knowingly interferes with other users' accounts or systems.
We may suspend or revoke your access to any Signet-operated services (including the waitlist and any future hosted features) if we believe you are violating these terms.
5. Third-party services
Signet connects to email providers and other services at your direction. Those services are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices.
6. Agent and automation features
Signet exposes hooks that allow AI agents to propose actions on your mail. Proposals land in a review queue; you approve or reject each one. You are responsible for the actions you approve. If you configure an agent to act on your behalf, the outputs of that agent are your responsibility. Review proposals before approving them.
7. No warranty
SIGNET IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. USE OF SIGNET IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAYLOR INSURANCE SERVICES AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF SIGNET, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US FOR SIGNET IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICH DURING THE PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PERIOD IS ZERO.
9. Termination
You may stop using Signet at any time. Uninstalling the app and revoking its OAuth permissions with your email providers ends your use. We may terminate or suspend your access to Signet-operated services at any time, with or without notice, particularly during private development.
10. Changes to these terms
We will update this page and the "Last updated" date above when these terms change. Your continued use of Signet after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Signet will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
